- A Showcase For Everything I Love -
The first time I remember being in the kitchen cooking was when I was 6 years old. My dad was trying to teach me to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on warm, toasted, white bread. I rocked it. Put the peanut butter in the middle and spread to the edge, he said. At 6, I never quite made it to the crusts. (Something that would truly cause my OCD to go into overdrive in later years.) He still loved me. Not quite a gourmet dinner at the age of 6, but over the years, I've come to appreciate the freshness and quality of good food and the time spent on building layers of flavors. The balance of sweet, sour, bitter and salt. Unami.
I had no idea that life's path would lead me to a career in food. I cook it. I eat it. I style it. I photograph it. And I love to share it with my friends and family. Welcome to Eat with Norma
