Brasa Rotisserie in Costa Mesa


Tucked in a corner of a shopping plaza in Costa Mesa, CA, directly across the street from the South Coast Plaza, BRASA Rotisserie has a modern take on Peruvian food. There is both indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy and smells like yummy roasting chicken.


The family owned restaurant is run by siblings Victor and Francesca along with their mother Angela and step-father Steve. BRASA Rotisserie is based on the Peruvian style of rotisserie chicken know as "pollo a la brasa". Francesca and Victor have traveled to Peru to work with local chefs to develop their recipes and imported a special charcoal-fired rotisserie oven which not only cooks the chicken to a crispy and juicy perfection, but serves as the centerpiece of the restaurant. The menu is fairly simple. Obviously, there is the beautiful rotisserie chicken that you can have as a meal, in a burrito, in a sandwich or on a salad. They also have a phenomenal pork chicharron. They also have some amazing side dishes like the Yuccitas, the Brasa Tots and Sweet potato fries. In addition to all this yumminess, they also have their own house made sauces. Mine two fravorites were the Brasa Sauce and the Yellow Peruvian. The menu does change slightly with the season. You'll just have to keep coming back to try the new dishes.


Everything was super fresh and the staff was so nice to me. The restaurant was clean and easily accessible. Most importantly, they spent time helping me pick a dish that was perfect for me! I will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
