If you're craving gorgeous Pastries and Cakes you must try Plate & Petal!

Plate & Petal appears to be quiet compared to other competitors in the neighborhood. That is until you enter the restaurant. The interior of the building has more of a cafe/ bistro feel to it and is quite large for the restaurants in the neighborhood. However, that is not what notice. You will see the two huge dessert and pastry refrigerators with gorgeous delicacies! So beautiful. There is mild music playing in the background and the room smells like fresh baked goods. We sat on the outdoor patio which was elegantly shaded and was fun to people watch the neighbors passing by. The restaurant is unfortunately hidden on the backside of the busy Brand Blvd in Glendale, CA.


The menu consists of mainly fresh bistro fare. There's everything from fresh burrata to fish to pastas and steak. All delicious and beautifully plated.


The chef is Robert Antonyon. A graduate from Cordon Bleu, he has studied under celebrity chef Todd English and has opened local restaurants like Perch in DTLA, BESO in Hollywood and Wofgang Puck at the Hotel Bel Air. The food he is producing at Plate & Petal most definitely shows his range of experience.


I am so blessed to live so close to this restaurant. I will definitely be back again and again.
