Max City BBQ- Modern BBQ in Eagle Rock

Located right off of Eagle Rock Blvd. Max city BBQ is the answer to the east sides request for an amazing pulled pork. It’s about 3 and a half years old and has the locals craving for more . It’s a small place with a wood interior and a sitting bar stretching the length of the restaurant. There’s a super limited number of parking spaces but looks like there’s plenty of street parking. The place is pretty small so you’ll want to get here early, but they pack an excellent take out... so that always a great option. Things to know...they serve 2 kinds of BBQ sauces. The regular and the spicy. They are both sweet but the spicy has a real kick, so that was my favorite. I tried the Weaknees Plate, which had a good size portion of their most popular BBQ. It included a 1/4 rack of the St. Louis style ribs, 1/4 lbs of the beef brisket, 1/4 BBQ Chicken and and my favorite, a 1/4 lbs of the pulled pork!!! Scroll over all the below pictures to see the details of each item and the sides. I do want to give extra points to the corn bread muffins. I don’t like corn bread in any form, which could be from working at Marie Calenders during my college years, but these lovely little Devils have won my heart. Pro tip…cut in half, slather with butter, pile a good share of pulled pork and the drench in the spicy BBQ sauce. Yummzers! Mouth is salivating as I type. They serve a great lemonade and have a full bar. I’ll definitely return for the pulled pork and corn muffins. Definitely!
