This is what you should get at Burger City Grill
I rushed to get this post up by today as it is the last day of "National Burger Month". I went on Memorial Day. Typically a day of backyard BBQs. For me its an air conditioned room with a big fat Pastrami Burger (add bacon) and chili cheese fries (extra cheese). Where does one get such a bounty of love? I would suggest Burger City Grill. They currently have 3 locations, I visited the one in Downey. Its in newer center. There's actually quite a few restaurants with really nice patios. If you've got that one person in your group who doesn't want to get an amazing burger (we all have that friend), you can send them over to the sandwich shop while you consume the real eats! The restaurant itself is pay first and they bring to your table. Its very well kept, the bathrooms are clean and the service is really good. I was actually surprised at how nice all of the employees were here. All smiling and all very polite. The menu has a good selection of featured handmade burgers or you can"build it your way". I must admit I was a little sad that they didn't have any onion rings, but they have both fresh-cut fries and potato chips and you can have them loaded. Meaning, put a bunch of tasty things on top and you smile. But don't do what I did. Save room for one of their delicious shakes. They are yummy. Lastly they have a selection of craft beers. I didn't have one because I knew if I did I wouldn't drink my shake, but I will surely try one the next time I'm in. When I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back.
