When thinking about Brunch in LA, you need to try Bru's Wiffles.

Bru's currently has 2 locations, Santa Monica and the newest location, which I tried Marina Del Rey. They are currently only serve breakfast and lunch, but stay open to 3-4 pm depending on the location and both have outdoor dining. Downside, it appears that both have mainly street parking. I went on a Sunday and there were no issues, but if you're going during the week, plan your time accordingly.

Their sign says, Bru's Wiffles...a waffle joint. They obviously specialize in waffles. Which are delicious! And they have a ton of different ways to eat them. With fruit, syrup, fried egg, fried chicken and so on. All of which are amazing. Their eggs Benedict is even served with mini waffles instead of English muffins! But don't stop at the waffles. They also have burgers, sliders, wraps, pasta, pancakes, eggs, french toast, fried chicken, shakshuka and this list goes on. I was lucky enough to try quite a few items on my visit and there wasn't one thing that I didn't like. See below for full descriptions!

Baked Avocado Cup with Bacon It's a whole baked avocado with mozzarella, fried egg and either bacon or smoked salmon. Its served with the perfect sunny side up egg and the crispy bacon gave it the perfect amount of salt and texture!

The Pancake Combo The combo includes 2 Pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 slices of bacon and piece of boneless fried chicken. This was one of my favorites. The pancakes were super fluffy and the fried chicken was super crispy yet moist. Its the perfect breakfast for someone who wants a little bit of everything!

Chicken on Fire It's a waffle with fried chicken, grilled jalapenos, oaxacan cheese and a blazing sauce. It doesn't normally come with fried eggs, but we couldn't resist. The combo of fried chicken, blazing sauce, syrup and egg yolk was magical!

Eggs Benedict You get a choice of smoked salmon, fried chicken or Canadian bacon. Its served over mini waffles with hollandaise sauce. Served with breakfast potatoes or mixed greens. This was super yummy. The hollandaise sauce was thick, flavorful and buttery. It could have made an old shoe taste delicious. I opted for the stuffed hash browns well done. Which is two layers of hash browns that are stuffed with mashed potatoes and mozzarella cheese. Awesome sauce.

Shakshuka Baked fresh tomatoes, onion, garlic, feta cheese, chickpeas, 2 fried eggs and toasted slice and toasted baguette. Definitely a solid shakshuka. I've never had it with whole chickpeas before. I really liked the texture! Personal preference, I wasn't super fond of the feta cheese, but the french baguettes were fantastic! Breakfast pasta Its a pesto penne pasta with fried chicken, mozzarella and goat cheese and topped with a fried egg. We added the sliced avocado to this one, but the fried chicken and pesto penne was so good. Who knew that crumbled goat cheese and pesto would go so well together?

Beef Chorizo Quesadilla Bun Burger A beef chorizo burger with lettuce tomato, cheddar cheese and Bru's blazing sauce served between two mini cheddar cheese quesadillas. Served with skinny herb fries. So much flavor in every bite! But the star of this dish were those herb fries! They were so crispy on the outside and super tender on the inside. I couldn't stop eating them!

The service was amazing here. This includes the on duty manager. She was so nice to us. Great atmosphere and the great food made it a wonderful experience. I will definitely be back! Bru's Wiffle
